"Enkindle in them the fire of Your love"
This phrase in the classic prayer to the Holy Spirit is an expression of renewing the missionary fervor we are called to have. When we pray to the Holy Spirit, He comes down and dwells deep within our hearts with the fire of His divine love. Charity, which is love at its perfection, is a gift of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit grants this gift to anyone who gives himself wholeheartedly to the missionary service. It is the essential element that assures the renewing of the missionary fervor of all the member of the Catholic church. For those of us who receive this missionary fervor in our calling to be a Catholic webauthor, we express the wholehearted giving of ourself to Christ through our desire, our search, our drive, and our objective to achieve webauthor excellence in His Name. And as we continually journey in this road to excellence with Christ as the raison d' etre of our Catholic internet mission, the Holy Spirit will continually gift us with the graces necessary to achieve Catholic webauthor excellence and thus make Christ foremost and central in all our interaction in the Internet.

"You shall renew the face of the earth"
The mission we undertake - the Catholic internet mission - is not our mission. It belongs entirely to the Holy Spirit. It is Him who shall make effective and it is Him who shall bring the Catholic internet mission to its fulfillment and its fruition. As the Catholic internet mission focuses on the Christian education and formation of families, business entities, webauthors and webmasters, and interreligious interactivity, the Holy Spirit shall move these entities in such a manner that their actions in the physical world would be actions that reflect the Christian ideals that they have come into contact with Catholic internet mission.

"That we may be always truly wise and ever-rejoice in His consolations"
Since information and technology dominate and influence the entire world of cyberspace, Catholic internet mission shall take part in renewing the missionary fervor of the Church in the Internet medium by education and forming Catholic webauthors to seek the face of Wisdom and to listen to the voice of Wisdom (through the celebration, adoration and contemplation of the Eucharist). For it is Wisdom that makes us truly made in the image and likeness of God. Thus, Catholic webauthor excellence is achieved if Internet users and those who come upon first contact with Catholic internet mission, shall realize that what is truly important in this life and in the next life is the Wisdom that comes from above and not the wisdom of this world. The wisdom of this world seeks only excellence for its own sake - i.e. worldly excellence; but the Wisdom from above seeks excellence only for the greater glory of God.

78th World Mission Sunday
With the celebration of the 78th World Mission Sunday this coming October 24, 2004, Catholic internet mission and Catholic webauthors are called upon to participate in renewing the missionary fervor to bring the Wisdom of the Gospel to all peoples in the Internet.

"Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Your faithful, and enkindle in them the fire of Your love. Send forth Your Spirit and they shall be created and You shall renew the face of the earth.
Let us pray.
O God, who has taught the hearts of the faithful by the light of the Holy Spirit, grant that by the gift of the same Spirit we may be always truly wise and ever rejoice in His consolation. Amen."
